Welcome to Active Explorers Leeston, a warm, community-focused early learning centre where tamariki thrive through creativity, care and connection. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, our teaching encourages children to express themselves in many ways and follow their interests. With spacious, well-designed indoor and outdoor environments and a semi-rural setting close to rivers, parks, farmland and the beach, each day is filled with meaningful play, exploration and connection for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

We are now looking for a centre administrator to join our team and start a new journey altogether!

Key responsibilities include:

• Greeting parents, whānau and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Managing enrolments, attendance and centre records.
• Supporting staff with general administration and communication.
• Coordinating supplies, invoices and correspondence.
• Maintaining accurate systems and supporting smooth daily operations.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong administration and computer skills.
• Confident, warm, friendly, and professional customer-facing skills.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine love of working around children.
• A great team player - working closely with the wider team.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.

Hours: 20 hours per week, hours between 8:30am – 12:30pm (negotiable), throughout 5 days.
