Fixed Term to April 2027
Are you an organised people person who enjoys managing projects, navigating legislative requirements, and building positive relationships across a large workforce? We're looking for a junior HR Coordinator to join our team on a fixed-term basis and lead an important compliance-focused project.
This role will play a key part in supporting our organisation to meet new Ministry of Education requirements relating to overseas Police Vetting for core workers.
About the Role
Working closely with our centres and kaimahi, you will coordinate the end-to-end process of identifying affected employees, gathering required information, and ensuring employee records and safety checks are updated accurately and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing employee records to identify core workers who may require overseas Police Vetting checks.
- Engaging directly with kaimahi across the country to explain requirements and obtain necessary documentation and consent.
- Supporting employees through the overseas Police Vetting process and coordinating the collection of required information.
- Updating employee safety check documentation and maintaining accurate compliance records.
- Monitoring progress, tracking outcomes, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Providing general HR administration and project support as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- 1-2 years' experience in an HR, recruitment, coordination, or administration role.
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential employee information.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with legislative or compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with a wide range of people.
- A proactive approach and confidence picking up the phone to engage with employees and centre teams.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Experience within Early Childhood Education or the education sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
