Active Explorers Nelson Street in Greymouth is a warm and welcoming centre where strong relationships, meaningful learning, and a true sense of belonging come together. Our centre provides inspiring learning spaces that reflect the cultures, identities, and natural beauty of our community.
At Active Explorers Nelson Street, we believe every child is unique. Our localised curriculum is thoughtfully designed to weave together local pūrākau, history, and community values, supporting tamariki to grow socially, emotionally, and culturally. With rich open-ended resources and opportunities to care for our veggie garden, children are encouraged to follow their interests, lead their own learning, and develop confidence through play.
Joining our team, you'll be part of a passionate group of Kaiako who embrace a hands-on, heart-led approach to learning. We create meaningful experiences that foster curiosity, kindness, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging. We also value strong relationships with whānau and our wider community, creating an environment where everyone feels supported and included.
Guided by the Evolve Education Group values — Kotahitanga, Mahi te mahi, Manaakitanga, and Kia manawanui — we foster an inclusive and supportive environment where Kaiako are encouraged to grow, collaborate, and make a meaningful difference every day.
If you're a caring and enthusiastic Non-Certificated Kaiako looking to join a passionate team where relationships come first and every day brings opportunities to learn, grow, and make a difference, we'd love to hear from you!
