Infants Kaiako – Full Pay Parity (and more!)
If your heart feels most at home in the company of pēpi—if you’re the kind of kaiako who instinctively slows down, tunes in, and delights in every small moment of discovery—then you may have just found your place.
We’re looking for someone who brings gentleness, warmth, and genuine connection to their practice. Someone who understands that the earliest years are sacred, and that responsive, loving care lays the foundation for a lifetime of learning.
Why You’ll Feel Supported Here
- Discounted childcare for your own little explorers
- More than Full Pay Parity—because your mahi is invaluable
- A leadership team that truly listens and stands beside you
- A calm, well-resourced environment designed to help you thrive
- Birthday leave—your special day matters too
- Access to the Evolve network for ongoing growth and professional whanaungatanga
Who We Are
Active Explorers Rimu is a warm, welcoming centre where relationships come first. Our whānau-focused approach means kaiako and families work closely together, creating learning journeys that honour each child’s uniqueness.
Our days are filled with project-based exploration, cultural celebrations, and sustainable practices that help tamariki feel grounded and connected. We communicate openly, adapt thoughtfully, and embrace the evolving needs of every child in our care.
Our location near Glenfield Mall and Library keeps us closely connected to our community. Tamariki regularly venture out to explore, learn, and build confidence in the world around them.
Across all age groups, our spaces are intentionally designed to nurture growth—whether it’s the quiet, unhurried rhythms of our infant room or the joyful, purposeful play of our toddlers and preschoolers.
Who We’re Hoping to Welcome
- A qualified ECE teacher with full or provisional Teaching Council registration
- Someone with a big heart, a warm smile, and a great sense of humour
- A kaiako committed to high-quality, responsive care
- A curious, reflective learner who brings empathy, creativity, and energy
- An infant specialist—the person pēpi naturally gravitate toward
