Are you an inspiring and passionate leader ready to take the next step in your ECE career? We are looking for a warm, motivated, and experienced Team Leader to lead our Over 2s room at Active Explorers Blenheim.

At Active Explorers Blenheim, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Our Over 2s environment is a vibrant, engaging space where tamariki are encouraged to explore, discover, and develop confidence through meaningful play and learning experiences. As Team Leader, you'll play a key role in guiding and supporting your team while creating a positive and inspiring learning environment where children, whānau, and Kaiako thrive together.

You'll lead a team of dedicated Kaiako who are passionate about providing high-quality learning experiences that support each child's unique strengths, interests, and development. You'll foster a collaborative team culture, mentor and support Kaiako, and ensure the delivery of an engaging curriculum that reflects the aspirations of our tamariki and whānau.

Our tamariki love spending time outdoors. We have a large outdoor area and a growing garden where children dig, plant, explore, and connect with Papatūānuku through hands-on learning experiences. What we're looking for in you:

• ECE Qualified and holding current Full or Provisional Teaching Registration.
• Previous leadership experience or a desire to step into a leadership position.
• Confident knowledge of Te Whāriki and key Early Documents (Te Kōrerorero, He Māpuna te Tamaiti, Kōwhiti Whakapae, Tapasā, Tataiako).
• A passion for delivering high-quality education and achieving the best outcomes for tamariki.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues.
• The ability to inspire, mentor, and support a team.
• A willingness to learn and use Te Reo Māori in everyday practice.
• Someone who brings fresh ideas, energy, and enthusiasm to the team.
