Lead, Inspire, and Make a Difference at Little Earth Montessori Kāpiti. Are you a Montessori-qualified (3-6), certificated Kaiako ready to step into a leadership role where you can make a meaningful impact?

At Little Earth Montessori, we are all about nurturing curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. Our centre fosters purposeful, peaceful learning journeys where individuality is respected and tamariki are empowered to thrive.

As kaitiaki of the environment, we place strong importance on caring for Papatūānuku and fostering respect for the natural world. This is reflected in our everyday practice and our learning spaces, which include:

We take pride in creating a unique environment that sets us apart:

  • Our centre is home to chickens, guinea pigs, and a turtle, providing daily opportunities for meaningful animal interactions
  • Tamariki actively care for a vegetable garden and fruit trees (apple, pear, and peach), developing responsibility and environmental awareness
  • A strong commitment to kaitiakitanga, recognised through our Green Gold Enviroschools status

  • A Montessori philosophy that encourages imagination and independence through the use of real, engaging materials

We are supported by a warm, engaged community of whānau, where you can truly feel the sense of aroha and whanaungatanga that underpins our relationships.

We are seeking a passionate Certificated Montessori (3-6) Team Leader to join our Kaiako team and inspire both tamariki and educators. This role offers the opportunity to lead within a well-resourced, values-driven environment.

Our offer to you:

A wonderful new team to work with, underpinned by the Montessori philosophy, with resources to promote independent thinking. An opportunity to join the Evolve network of ECE professionals.

What we are looking for in you:

  • You create a nurturing, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for tamariki growth and development.
  • You can confidently implement the Montessori philosophy and approach to education.
  • You are fully registered with the New Zealand Teaching Council and hold a Montessori qualification
  • You enjoy leading and collaborating with a dedicated team of educators
  • You ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of all children
  • You lead with warmth, professionalism, and purpose.

Does this role align with your teaching philosophy and tuakana/teina approach, we would love to hear from you. Join our team and be a part of a community that values sustainability, creativity, and meaningful learning.
