At Lollipops Paraparaumu, our natural outdoor environments inspire curiosity, adventure, and exploration. Through thoughtfully designed spaces that encourage free play and discovery, we create meaningful learning experiences for our tamariki every day.

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Centre Manager to join our leadership team and help support the ongoing success of our growing centre.

Conveniently located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, our centre offers a peaceful learning environment while remaining close to local amenities, including the Kāpiti Expressway and Transmission Gully.

Our increasing roll reflects the strong relationships we've built with children, whānau, and the wider community, alongside our commitment to providing high-quality education and care.

Our philosophy incorporates aspects of RIE with a specific focus on respectful and reciprocal relationships with tamariki and whanau. Here we work collaboratively to foster a primary caregiving model in which we nurture close bonds.

As Assistant Centre Manager, you'll play an important role in leading our teaching team, supporting centre operations, and fostering a positive culture where tamariki, whanau, and kaiako can thrive.

We're seeking someone who:

  • Has a genuine passion for early childhood education and leadership.
  • Builds strong, lasting relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues.
  • Leads by example and inspires others through collaboration and positivity.
  • Supports curriculum planning and creates engaging learning opportunities.
  • Is confident assisting with day-to-day centre operations and compliance requirements.
  • Is committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and their learning.

Our offer to you:

  • A supportive, welcoming, and enthusiastic team.
  • A well-resourced learning environment that inspires creativity.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring to support your professional growth.
  • A competitive salary and balanced lifestyle.
  • Access to Evolve Education Group's wider professional network.
  • Birthday leave to celebrate your special day.
  • Generous non-contact time for planning and leadership responsibilities.
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities.

What we're looking for in you

  • ECE qualification with a current Teaching Registration.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within Early Childhood Education.
  • Sound knowledge of ECE regulations and licensing requirements.
  • A positive, nurturing, and solutions-focused leadership style.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality education and care.
  • The ability to support the Centre Manager with operational responsibilities.

Infant experience would be advantageous but is not essential. This opportunity is ideal for a Team Leader ready to step into a broader leadership role and continue developing their management capabilities.

If you're ready to make a meaningful impact, support a fantastic team, and grow your leadership career with a centre that values relationships, collaboration, and excellence, we'd love to hear from you.
