About the role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Education Advisor to join our team, providing leadership and support to our Centres in Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty.
In this role you will ensure best practice curriculum outcomes and high-quality education and care. You’ll be pivotal in contributing to our strategic direction and national education goals as part of a small, passionate team of educators.
Your key areas of responsibility will include:
Strategic Education Initiatives: assist in the implementation of national education strategies and contribute to our overarching goals, ensuring alignment with best practice curriculum outcomes.
Championing Educational Excellence: Provide expert guidance and support to regional teams, fostering high-quality teaching and learning experiences across our centres in Auckland, Waikato, and Bay of Plenty.
Continuous Professional Development: Shape and deliver professional learning plans, engage with external providers, and inspire a culture of lifelong learning among ECE teaching professionals.
Regulatory Compliance: ensure legislative and regulatory obligations related to the curriculum are met, including conducting centre curriculum audits as needed.
Key Relationship Management: Build and maintain high-trust relationships with key regional stakeholders, including MoE, ERO, and other relevant agencies.
About you
You’re a Registered ECE Teacher in Aotearoa New Zealand.
You ideally hold a Master’s degree in a related discipline.
You’re based in Auckland, Waikato or Bay of Plenty and have a full, clean drivers licence to allow you to travel to and support the Centres in this region.
You demonstrate in-depth understanding of Te Whāriki and can leverage this to coach and support others.
You hold deep knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and have a commitment to bicultural practices.
You have demonstrated curriculum leadership experience with the ability to assess, plan and deliver.
You may also have facilitation experience (however this is not essential as training and support will be given to the right person)
You are committed, conscientious, thoughtful, and open-minded with well-developed listening skills.
