Why You’ll Love Being Here

- Strong, steady leadership across the centre
- Paid professional development and first aid certification
- Discounted childcare for your own tamariki
- Suitable and supportive for newly registered teachers
- More than Full Pay Parity
Our Kowhai room is deeply nurturing, with familiar rhythms that mirror home life. We take pride in creating a space where our under-two's feel safe, seen, and celebrated.
The Role
We’re seeking a qualified and registered Early Childhood Kaiako to become a key teacher in our growing under-two's space. You’ll be joining an experienced, collaborative team and will be well supported by our leadership team as you grow your practice and make a meaningful impact in these foundational early years.
Whānau partnerships are at the heart of our centre. We work closely with families, honouring their aspirations and weaving their knowledge into our learning environment. We also value a connection to place, and we welcome kaiako who are familiar with — or eager to learn — the local pūrākau of Ngāti Kahungunu.
What We Offer
- A warm, supportive team to grow alongside
- Strong mentoring from centre leadership and our wider cluster
- Competitive salary and a balanced lifestyle
- Opportunities to connect with the wider Evolve Education network
- Generous non‑contact time for thoughtful planning and documentation
What You Bring
- A recognised ECE qualification with provisional or full NZ Teaching Council registration
- A gentle, patient, and empathetic approach to guiding our youngest learners
- A commitment to creating a calm, responsive, and culturally grounded environment
