Nestled in the heart of Mana, Porirua, Active Explorers Mana is surrounded by rich Māori identity, community connection, and stories of the land. Our localised curriculum is the heartbeat of our centre — grounded in kotahitanga, whanaungatanga, and the cultural narratives of Ngāti Toa. Tamariki learn through te reo Māori, waiata, pūrākau, and the tikanga of our local whānau, hapū and iwi.
We celebrate the beautiful mix of cultures that call Mana home, ensuring every child feels seen, valued, and connected to this place and its stories.
“Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini.”
I come not with my own strength but with the collective strength of many.
This whakataukī reflects both our community and our centre values — we are stronger together.
