We have a fixed-term opportunity available for a Property Maintenance person to carry out general maintenance work across our Centres in Taranaki. Initially for 3 months, there could be possibility for this to extend. This position involves working unsupervised to provide quality property maintenance and repair services to our Early Childhood Centres. Supporting 3 Centres, you would be working circa 8 hours per week for each Centre, a minimum of 24 hours each week.
This role will suit an individual with the willingness to work flexible hours and the ability to manage their own time to meet deadlines. The role involves manual handling and lifting, travel between locations and may require standing for lengthy periods.
Day-to-day you may undertake tasks such as: painting, general repair work and property maintenance, water blasting, gardening/ lawn mowing – all the things that keep our centres looking and feeling fantastic whilst maintaining safe play and learning spaces for the tamariki in our care.
Due to the level of noise involved in general maintenance and repair work, some tasks will need to be undertaken outside of the Centre’s operating hours – so this might suit someone interested in weekend work.
