• Feed your passion for Early Childhood Education
• Grow your career alongside a strong team of certificated kaiako
• Whānaungatanga at the heart of our mahi
• 32.5 hours across five days for great work–life balance
Learning Adventures Maraenui is a purpose-built early childhood centre with a spacious, intentional environment where tamariki feel at home. Our play-based, holistic and nurturing approach creates a place where every child can shine. With a new leader guiding our waka, we’re excited to welcome an energetic, experienced non‑certificated kaiako who’s ready to grow, learn and contribute to our vibrant community.
Thanks to strong enrolment growth, we now have a role for someone who brings heart, initiative and a love for tamariki. This position also includes supporting our centre as a back‑up van driver — a hands-on way to connect with our whānau and help our tamariki arrive safely each day.
At Learning Adventures, te ao Māori and te reo Māori are woven through our daily practice. Whānaungatanga shapes our relationships, our curriculum, and our connection to our hapori. We regularly visit Pukemokimoki Marae and Richmond Primary School, and we value kaiako who are familiar with — or keen to learn — the pūrākau of Ngāti Kahungunu.
What we offer:
• A well-resourced centre to spark creativity and imagination
• Support from centre leadership and our wider Hawke’s Bay roopu
• Opportunities to connect with the Evolve network
• Involvement in the KidsCan kai programme
• Non-contact time to support thoughtful planning
What we’re looking for:
• Experience as a non‑certificated kaiako in centre-based or home-based ECE
• Or you’re currently studying ECE and able to work five days a week
• A clean, full NZ driver licence
• A gentle, patient and empathetic approach with tamariki
If this sounds like your next step, we’d love you to apply online and join our whānau.
