Set in the middle of Highbrook business hub, Active Explorer Highbrook is a well purpose-built centre with eight vibrant rooms catering for each age and stage. Like an extension of your own home, our one-of-a-kind Nursery keeps our under 1s safe from walking feet and provide our toddlers and pre-school children with the best resources to learn and grow!

Our job is to ensure your child is cared for in a safe and nurturing environment, to provide them with exceptional learning opportunities to help them shine and thrive, and to equip them with the skills they need to succeed in their lifelong learning journey. That’s a job we take very seriously.

We are now looking for a fantastic team leader to join our Toddlers’ room!

What we're looking for in you:

  • You are ECE Qualified and hold Current NZ Full Teaching Registration.
  • You have 3 + years of leadership experience.
  • You teach children in a positive, nurturing way.
  • Gentle, patient, and empathetic approach to guiding learners, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Knowledge of ECE regulations.
  • Ability to problem solve and pivot to make decisions that work for the team & children. 
  • Ability to form genuine relationships with parents, authentic leadership skills enhancing and utilising unique skills and growing / developing new skills within the team. 
  •  Growing our children thru a tricky stage of development with respectful practice understanding the child's perspective with love & care.
