At Active Explorers Swanson, we provide a nurturing, inspiring and multicultural environment where our tamariki aged 3 months to 5 years can learn, grow and thrive. Our purpose-built centre features thoughtfully designed spaces for every age and stage, encouraging confidence, creativity and a love of discovery.

Our spacious outdoor environment is the perfect place for adventure, exploration and play, while our dedicated kaiako create meaningful learning experiences that help every child flourish.

We're on the lookout for a passionate Cook to join our whānau! If you love creating delicious, nutritious meals and want to make a real difference in the lives of tamariki, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Planning and preparing fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children
• Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Accommodating special dietary requirements and allergies
• Managing kitchen inventory and supplies
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff on meal planning

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in commercial cooking or food preparation
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain
• Understanding of child nutrition principles
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• A caring, positive attitude and a passion for supporting tamariki
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
