Are you a Certificated Kaiako with a Montessori qualification or have a genuine passion for the Montessori philosophy?

At Little Earth Montessori, we are passionate about nurturing kind, respectful, and independent tamariki. Our centre is grounded in calm, purposeful learning experiences where each child’s individuality is honoured, empowering them to grow with confidence, curiosity, and mana.

What truly sets us apart is our unique, nature-rich environment. Our centre is home to chickens, guinea pigs, and even a turtle, creating daily opportunities for tamariki to develop aroha and responsibility through meaningful connections with animals. Our tamariki also help care for vegetable gardens and fruit trees strengthening their sense of kaitiakitanga and connection to the natural world. Sustainability sits at the heart of everything we do.

About the role
We’re seeking a passionate Certificated Kaiako to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will support and inspire tamariki while working collaboratively within a Montessori-led environment that values reciprocal learning.

Our centre offers high-quality resources and a strong, supportive whanau community. As a proud Green-Gold Enviroschool, we integrate sustainability into everyday learning, providing tamariki with rich outdoor experiences that spark imagination and creativity.

Our offer to you:

  • A warm, welcoming team built on whanaungatanga and Montessori values
  • Quality resources that encourage independence and exploration
  • Strong partnerships with whānau and community
  • The opportunity to be part of the wider Evolve ECE network

What we’re looking for in you:

  • A nurturing kaiako who creates a safe, supportive environment for tamariki
  • Understanding of, or passion for, the Montessori philosophy
  • Full or provisional NZ Teaching Council registration
  • A collaborative team player who contributes positively to centre culture
  • A genuine respect for each child’s individuality, strengths, and identity
  • A commitment to the safety, wellbeing, and manaakitanga of all Tamariki

If your teaching philosophy aligns with ours and you’re inspired by a centre that values sustainability, creativity, and holistic development, we would love to hear from you.
