Looking for your next step into leadership, or ready to grow your rangatiratanga in a supportive environment? This could be your moment.
At Little Wonders Blenheim, we’re on the lookout for a passionate Team Leader role for our Manaaki (Tuakana) room. This role is 30 hours across 5 days, with our centre operating between 8am–4pm, giving you that sought-after work-life balance—more time for whānau, after-school activities, or simply enjoying the beautiful Blenheim lifestyle.
Whether you're an experienced leader or stepping into your first leadership opportunity, you’ll be supported by a strong, experienced leadership team who will awhi you as you guide and inspire your own team, foster meaningful relationships with tamariki and whānau, and lead curriculum and teaching practice within your room.
Our centre is light, airy, and purpose-built, with just four learning spaces—making us one of the smallest centres in Blenheim. This creates a truly intimate, whānau-focused environment, where strong relationships flourish and every child is truly known. We empower tamariki to realise their full potential through play, exploration, and connection to te taiao (the natural world), and we deeply value the partnerships we build with our whānau.
Why you’ll love working with us:
- A wonderful new team to work with.
- A well-resourced centre to cater to your imagination and teaching.
- Support from centre management for your professional growth.
- Competitive salary and a well-balanced lifestyle.
- Opportunity to join the Evolve network of ECE professionals.
- Half-day of birthday leave.
- Sufficient non-contact hours to ensure effective program planning.
- Reduced hours: 8am–4pm.
What we're looking for in you:
- You’re an experienced ECE teacher with provisional or full NZ Teaching Council Registration.
- You have a passion for sustainable practice - we love and respect the outdoors and our environment reflects this.
- Someone who leads with heart, positivity, and a team-first mindset
If you're ready to step into a role where your leadership can shine while still being supported, we’d love to hear from you.
Haere mai – join our whānau and make a difference where it truly matters.
