Kaiako (Non-Certificated) Birkenhead

Nestled in a warm, welcoming environment designed with tamariki in mind, Lollipops Birkenhead is a place where nurturing relationships, individual care, and a strong sense of whānau come together. Guided by Te Whāriki, we create rich learning experiences that reflect children's interests, strengths, and emerging curiosities while celebrating the many cultures that make up our centre community.

We are currently looking for a passionate Kaiako to join our Infant Room, where responsive care and meaningful relationships form the foundation of everything we do. Known for the exceptional care we provide our youngest learners, our under 2s space has earned wonderful feedback from families who value the genuine connections, personalised routines, and nurturing approach that help each child feel safe, secure, and celebrated.

Our pēpi and toddler environment is thoughtfully separated to create a calm and peaceful atmosphere. With spacious indoor areas, a dedicated sleep room, a generous changing area, and a welcoming kai space, tamariki have everything they need to thrive. Outside, children enjoy their own large playground with plenty of shelter, allowing for exploration and play in all seasons. Guided by children's interests and individual routines, our Kaiako create meaningful learning experiences that support each child's unique journey and development.

Whanaungatanga sits at the heart of everything we do. We work in partnership with families, valuing their voice and recognising that parents and whānau are children's first teachers. Together, we create a nurturing environment where every child feels a strong sense of belonging, mana, and connection.
